Logan is in the kitchen of the apartment shared by him and his smoking hot girlfriend, McKena. He's making a blender full of mixed berry smoothies.
McKena slides up onto the counter and smiles, looking over at Logan she sighs slightly and tucks a strand of long blonde hair behind her ear, despite the smile on her face, there's still a dejected look to her eyes as she greets him "Hey baby!"
"Hey you... here drink this." He hands her a glass of the smoothie. "It's a recharger. All that hard work you've been putting in, this will help recharge you."
She takes the glass and makes a face at him with a small laugh "Are you going to start feeding me protein shakes too?" She lifts her arm and flexes, not really having any muscle there and makes a 'grr' face at him "See! I'm stacked!"
He laughs. "Every little bit helps. I hated seeing you down on yourself last time so I'm going to try my best to get you in killer form."
She shrugs slightly and looks down, sipping the smoothie she stares at her dangling feet with a small sigh "I'm just... disappointed in myself is all... I spent all that time training and I feel like I just bit the big one with that match." She takes another sip before letting out a small huff "I guess I just feel like there's all this extra pressure on me, being a Hardy, to do amazing just like Ray." She looks up at him with a frown "But I'm not Ray and I'm Not my dad... I guess that natural wrestling ability skipped me or something..."
He shakes his head. "Exactly, you're not Ray, you're not your dad... You are McKena Hardy and you are exactly who you need to be." Logan smiles at her. "You can't take a fish throw it on the ground and say, 'why can't you run as fast as this dog?' It's not a fair comparison." He places his hand on her knee and smiles. "We just need to find your best way to swim my little fishy."
She smiles and makes a fish face at him before dissolving into giggles "You always know exactly what to say to make me feel better." She places the glass down on the counter and reaches out to grabs him by the shoulders, kissing him softly she rubs the tip of her nose against his before playfully tugging at his beard "Older and wiser huh baby?" She teases him a little with a wink.
"Yeah something like that you butt." He shakes his head laughing slightly. He takes a drink of his smoothie. "So my little fishy, what do we have planned today?"
She picks her glass back up and swirls it around a little before taking another sip "Probably not training..l I've been doing it every day since the match and I'm super sore..." she pouts at him with a flutter of her eyelashes. "Anything you wanna do? Think you can skip a day at the school?"
"For you? Of course I can baby." He smiles at her and tickles her leg a bit
. She giggles and playfully pulls her leg away before finishing off the smoothie and putting the glass down "Do you think I'm getting better?" Her question is plain and genuine as she tries to read his eyes for a response.
"McKena, you have focused on this more than I have ever seen you. Of course you are getting better."
She frowns and looks down, picking at her nails with a small shake of her head "I don't know, I just feel like I'm one step behind everyone else...." she sighs again, frustration clear on her face "Did you see some of those kids at Andersons?! They could literally kill me and I'm the one with a contract I just..." she looks up at him with sadness etched across her face "What if I'm making a mistake Lo?"
"Is this your passion, McKena? Is this what you want to be doing?" His eyes stay trained on hers.
She nods slowly "It's all I've ever wanted to do with my life, I've been in gyms and arenas since I was five years old... I've never wanted to do anything other than wrestle, it's my blood..." she creases her brow slightly "I'm just scared I'm never going to be any good..."
"If it's your passion, if its your dream... Then you kick ass and bust your own until you get what you have been dreaming about for so long." His eyes have a spark of enthusiasm to them.
She nods quietly, looking down for a moment she mutters something to herself and then looks up at him with a steeled stare and a confident smile "You're right, this isn't about being a Hardy, this isn't about a legacy, this is what I want for myself, I didn't bust my ass in all those gymnastics competitions just so I could learn to wrestle to give up... I didn't argue with my mom for years or move to New York at eighteen to let one loss push me under..."
He holds her chin in his hand. "You are McKena Hardy... And you CAN do this."
She smiles and leans in, kissing him softly "Thank you for always supporting me."
He smiles warmly at her. "I will always support you baby, because I love you... Forever and ever."
She giggles and kisses him again "And ever and ever and ever and EVER!"
